SHRAMDAAN AT BUDA PUSHKAR
Boys of Oman House visited Buda Pushkar on 16th July 2006 and devoted their Sunday morning to a good cause by pitching in for the digging up of the ancient Buda Pushkar lake that has been going on in Pushkar, Ajmer for a long time now to revive the receding lake that was once a source of drinking water for a large part of the population of Ajmer.
These boys of class 7 were accompanied by Mr. Pramod Sharma (Principal), Mr. N. P. Varma, Mr. D. Debnath, Mr. Prithvi Singh, Mr. Himanshu Pande, Mr. A.P.Vinayak and Mr. Rakesh Alfred for this social cause for which a large number of people are congregating at the site to contribute in the ongoing social service.
Our young boys certainly had a novel learning experience of a different kind by doing some manual labour of digging the ground and transporting the earth in metal troughs by hands. This programme was organized under the aegis of the Ajmer chapter of INTACH.
