The Twelfth Padamshree JTM Gibson Memorial Debate 2006
The
Twelfth Padamshree J.T.M. Gibson Memorial Debate was organized at
Mayo College, Ajmer from September 22, 2006 to September 24, 2006.
The debates were on the basis of the modified Cambridge format (Parliamentary
style of debating) in which eight teams took part.
The teams were:
1. Yadavindra Public School, Mohali
2. Scindia School, Gwalior
3. Modern School, Delhi
4. Daly College, Indore
5. S.M.S.Jaipur
6. Vasant Valley, Delhi
7. Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer
8. Mayo College, Ajmer

Topics for the Eleventh J.T.M.Gibson Memorial
Quarter-finals
1. The heart of the nuclear bomb is white.

The qualifying teams in the quarter
final rounds of the debate were:
1. Daly College, Indore
2. Scindia School, Gwalior
3. Mayo College Girls' School, Ajmer
4. S.M.S., Jaipur
In the semi-final round that took place
on September 24, 2006:
1) Scindia School Gwalior beat Daly College, Indore
2) Mayo College Girls' School beat S.M.S., Jaipur
In the final round, Scindia School, Gwalior stood winners and lifted the Trophy.
