An Open Chess Tournament for Wazir Khan Trophy was held in New Block under the supervision of Mr.D.K.Soni. The tournament was conducted from February2, 2008 to April18, 2008. Overall 44 students from different houses took part in this tournament. Preliminary rounds were played on knock out basis and the final rounds were played amongst the winners of preliminary rounds on Round Robin basis. 

The Trophy was won by Anuj khandelwal(813) of Class 11C, Jodhpur House. He played extremely well in all his matches. Without losing any game he won the final round by beating Anshul Arora(37) of Ajmer House.
