Variety Entertainment Evening, 2008
Variety entertainment Evening, 2008 was held in Mayo College, Junior School, Ajmer on April 26, 2008. Thakur Brijendra Rajpal Saahab, a distinguished old boy of the batch of 1957 which celebrated its golden jubilee last year graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. As an ardent lover of his alma mater he has sent his grandson amidst us.
The programme began with a ‘Stuti’ of Lord Ganesha followed by a hymn conducted by Mr.Chandra Prakash Tanwar and Mr.Mehboob Hussain. ‘Har Desh Mein Tu, Har Bhesh Mein Hu.’
As laughter is the best medicine, the children sang in a silvery- toned voice the song entitled ‘Keep On smiling’. It was conducted by Mr.Anurag Vinayak. Next was the play of Ajaypal House entitled ‘Couched Potato Santa’. It was directed by Mrs.Rakhee Garg. The boys of Class IV sang a song entitled ‘A Song On My Lips’. It was composed by Mr.Anurag Vinayak. The boys of Durgadas House enacted a play entitled ‘Troy- Legend Of The Fall’. Mrs.Jaishree Kushwaha directed the play. The audience were mesmerized when the boys played the Orchestra. The boys were trained by Mr.Ankur Bhatt and Mr.Vinod Daangi. A tale from one thousand and one tales of the Arabian Nights was enacted by the boys of Prithvi Raj House-‘Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves’. It was directed by Mr.Praveen Sharma and Mrs.Geti Johnson. The program ended with a Punjabi Dance. The choreographers were Mrs.Subhashini Pandit and Mrs.Ritu Pant. The program was coordinated by Mrs.Geti Johnson.
The performance by the new boys who had joined on April 4, 2008 was highly appreciated by everyone.
