CUBBING CAMP 2009

Class VI went for Cubbing on February 27, 2009. The camp was held for three days in Pushkar. ‘I didn’t get where I am today without Mayo’ is the feeling expressed in unison by the Mayoites.

The boys invited class IV and V on February 28, 2009 for a camp – fire. The Headmaster Mr.Pramod Chaturvedi inspected the tents. The boys displayed the gadgets with an air of confidence. Camping overnight in a field is a camp celebration of the Junior School. Patrolling at night in groups, making camp, breaking camp, enacting short plays, sand dune, sand castle etc. transforms camping in the Junior School every year into a Holiday Camp. Mayo aims at liberal education. B.F. Skinner has rightly said, "Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten."

Vaibhav Ramrakhani was declared as the best cub. Group – 1 of Ajaypal House was adjudged as the best group in the enactment of short plays. Group – I of Prithviraj House was declared as the best house in Cubbing. Class VI returned back to their island of peace on Sunday, March 1, 2009.

Thanks to the headmaster, teachers, coaches and instructors for making each moment a fond flashback for the Junior School. Love live Mayo ! Long live Mayoites ! Amen.
