Farewell Address to Mr. Pramod Kumar Ranwaka

Vice-Principal Academics

Mayo College, Ajmer takes special pride in bidding farewell to Mr.Pramod Kumar Ranwaka who has rendered excellent services to Mayo College for more than two decades. The College is grateful to the commitment and dedication he showed towards his work and the competence levels that he established. Mr.Ranwaka is decidedly a role model for the rest of us and we shall continue to derive the benefits of his guidance and insight. He is a perfect example of ‘simple living and high thinking’ and in this modern world he stands apart as a beacon, an eternal, inspiring teacher to all of us. His versatile personality and oceanic knowledge of Mathematics makes him a distinguished public school master. He is a multitalented teacher, an unparallel leader, a solicitous personage in comportment who has left an indelible imprint on all at Mayo.

Mr.Pramod Kumar Ranwaka was born on 17th July 1966. He did his graduation and post-graduation from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in 1985 and 1987 respectively. He started his career as a Mathematics teacher in Maharana Mewar Public School, Udaipur where he taught for a year. He joined Mayo College in July 1989 in the Department of Mathematics. During his tenure in Mayo he was a resident tutor of New Bharatpur House. His service to the school in the first year of his stay at Mayo was applauded by the Management Committee of Mayo College and he was confirmed just after a year. He was also appointed as the Assistant House Master of Ajay Pal House for a year along with the responsibility of heading the Computer Science Department. These rewards in the first year of his service are enough to prove the mettle of the great teacher we had in Mr.Ranwaka.

In 1992 another feather was added to Mr.Ranwaka’s cap when he was asked to take the responsibility of the Oman House as an Assistant House Master which he very successfully continued till 1997. The untiring commitment and involvement of Mr.Ranwaka was appreciated again with the post of the House Master of Colvin House in July 1997 which he gladly accepted as a new way of life and carried the responsibilities with vigour and interest till June 2005. Earlier Colvin House was a Middle House and Mr.Ranwaka was among the front-runners who suggested changing the old pattern, in which senior school boys and middle school boys were living separately. He urged the authorities to make the boys live together in all the houses. The efforts of Mr.Ranwaka along with the support of all the contemporary House Masters brought the current status of the eight vertical houses.

He was also the Head, Department of Mathematics from April 2001 to March 2008. His inherent capability coupled with his sincere dedication enabled him to produce wonderful results in both the Board Classes X and XII. The precedent set by him was to take a better turn in the sense that the results progressively kept on improving and in the past five years there have been no failures in the subject. He was also deeply involved in the Scouting Programme for seven years i.e. from 1990 to 1996. He was appointed the Director, Academics in July 2004. Thus he found himself at the helm of Academics of Mayo College. Soon he was entrusted with perhaps the most challenging and rather onerous responsibility of the post of Vice-Principal, Academics which meant he was supposed to plan the entire academic system of the school. The results of Secondary School Examination and Senior Secondary School Examination of the last few years are again the efforts of the tireless work invested in the school by Mr.Ranwaka while sitting on such a testing position.

Mr. Ranwaka came to Mayo College as a bachelor and got a wonderful life-partner in the form of Mrs.Reeta Ranwaka who always stood with him in all challenging moments of his life. Mrs.Ranwaka has also served the institution as House Matron of Jaipur House and Colvin House. He is blessed with two amazingly talented children, Richa and Jalaj.

Mr.Ranwaka’s great academic and administrative acumen rewarded him when he was chosen to Head, Alwar Public School, Alwar. Mr.Ranwaka is joining Alwar Public School, Alwar as the Principal on 24th September 2009. We convey our best wishes to Mr.& Mrs.Ranwaka and their two brilliant kids for a healthy, blissful and flourishing life ahead.

With best regards,

The students and staff of Mayo College, Ajmer
