Celebration of Jal Jhoolni Ekadashi

Jal Jhoolni Ekadashi was celebrated on August 31, 2009. The procession started from Mayo College Temple and took a short round of the campus. The procession finally reached the Mayo Old Swimming Pool where temple prayers were chanted by the temple supervisor, Mr.P.K.Joshi and the students. Officiating Principal, Mr.Samar Bhaduri performed Lord Krishnas' pooja on the occasion of Jal Jhoolni Ekadashi, after which Lord Krishna was immersed in the waters of the pool. The procession then came back to the temple where prasad was distributed to everyone. Members of the staff and the students took part in the procession. All the students in traditional house safas and royal attire took part in the procession and attended the ceremony.
