Daly Mayo Fixture 2010

Undoubtedly the most awaited event of the spring term – the Mayo-Daly Fixture began on the 11^th February, 2010. The teams arrived early morning and the players of both the sides seemed all set for the three matches.

The Football match ended in a draw with none of the teams being able to score a goal.

While in cricket – Mayo’s batting line up did seem a little unlucky but managed to rout out the Dalians with their outstanding bowling skills.

Daly managed to beat Mayo in Hockey which perhaps has been their forte ever since the initiation of the fixture.

The two schools projected some great skills and sportsman spirit on the field and the onlookers couldn’t help but praise them for their excellent tactics.

The Prize Giving Ceremony took place at the Sherring Field. It was a pleasure looking at the young players cheering for each other. It is not the victory that really matters in the end – it is how you manage to pocket a few friends at the culmination of the event.
