	Dear Maj Gen Lalotra, Thank you for your email informing me about the JTMG award. I am deeply honoured to be selected for this award. I was in the last batch to pass out from Mayo under Principal Gibson, and he had a significant impact on my future, so it is particularly touching for me to get this award. Even though I am very honoured to be chosen for this award, I live in USA and unfortunately I cannot come to India on the dates you mentioned. I am already committed to speaking during a series of events during that time, which involve researchers from all over the world, and the program has been announced and people have made their plans to come to USA for this event. Thus it is not possible for me to change my commitments, as many people from many countries are involved. I hope you will have a wonderful Prize Giving Day. Again, thank you, and thanks also to the class of 1966-67, for this great honour.
