Eleven schools participated, including one from Bangladesh and one from Jordan. Seven boys from Mayo College, Arihant Golecha, Aashay Jain, Raunak Hura, Jaedan Sangma, Shrey Verma, Hardik Bakliwal and Anmaya Agarwal attended it. They were escorted by Mrs Avantika Alfred.

The Conference began with the Ice-breaking sessions enabling the students from various schools to get to know each other and have fun.

On 23rd morning the Inaugural Ceremony took place. The Chief Guest was Rani Vidya Devi of Jaipur. Each school was introduced by one of its students. Arihant Golecha did the needful for Mayo. It was followed by a Photo session.

The keynote speaker on the first day was Mr Harshvardhan who is a well known advocate for conservation. As the main organizer of India’s only Birding Fair, he was singularly responsible for saving the Indian Bustard being hunted through Falconry. He spoke about the birds found around Jaipur and the ways we can save them. After lunch he took everyone for a bird-watching session at Mansagar Lake, highlighting the steps being taken to keep the lake water clean despite the sewage of the city flowing into it. After a short rest the children had a gala time at the DJ night.

The next day began with the Barazza session. The students discussed the ways in which they could contribute to save our birds. Then it was time for Group activities. Different groups were taken to visit places like the Old Age Home, Help in Suffering and Bird Hospital. The children also learnt artwork like Origami and Clay modeling. Games were organized for some under privileged children along with the MGD students.

Afternoon was the time to visit the Nahargarh Biological Park. The lions and tigers rescued from circuses are being looked after here. The children marveled at a ‘tigon’(a hybrid of tiger and lion) they saw there.

The Cultural Evening was very much enjoyed by all. Each school had to present an item related to the theme. The Mayoites enacted a skit, ‘Save the Birds.’ Jaedan also presented a song.

The last day began with the Dawn Walk at Ramniwas Garden followed by Yoga. After breakfast, the Keynote Speaker, Mr Rohit Gangwal, gave a touching talk on the need to save our birds. His NGO, RAKSHA is doing commendable work for treating and rehabilitating injured birds and reptiles. The Barazza session that followed was a time for some serious discussion as also some fun activities.

The Conference ended with the Valedictory Function. There was a talk by Dr Ramchandani, a well-known veterinary doctor. It was followed with the certificates being presented to all the delegates and an exhibition of the artwork created during the Conference.
