The following workshops were organized for the Teachers on 5 Jan to 06 Jan 2012.
(a) Computer Workshop The workshop discussed the finer nuances of Power Point Presentation. It was organized by the IT Department.
(b) Extramarks.Com Workshop The educational content provided by ‘Extramarks.Com’ was discussed along with the updates in the software. The teachers also presented sample lessons using the technological tools made available by Extramarks.Com.
(c) Mathematics Workshop by NIIT A workshop for Mathematics teachers was conducted by NIIT for the implementation of Maths lab.
(d) Mathematics Workshop by Orient Blackswan A workshop was conducted by Ms Meera Raghavan (Orient Blackswan) which focused on ‘Mathematics in the 21st Century’, ‘Using Manipulatives and Models’; ‘Encouraging Children to Think and Reason’; ‘Planning Mathematics Lessons using Visual Models’ and ‘Formative and Summative Assessments’.
