VISIT OF THE STUDENTS OF PAKISTAN

(CAS SCHOOL, KARACHI

A delegation of the students and teachers of CAS School, Karachi comprising 4 boys and 5 girls along with Ms. Almas Rias, Headmistress of the senior school and Mrs Maha Jafrey, a German language teacher visited Mayo College, Ajmer from 27 Sep 11 to 04 Oct 11 to establish educational and cultural exchange.

They spent quality time on the campus observing the myriad activities of the School, interacting with students and teachers of Mayo College. They also visited the Dargah and Pushkar where they observed and appreciated the colourful canvas of Rajasthan.

Among the other activities, they witnessed the annual Gibson Debates and Quiz which was a new experience for them.

They gave a presentation on their school and culture of Pakistan in the Assembly Hall along with a short cultural introduction to the Sufi poetry and songs.

They had an informal dinner at the Principal’s residence with the students and teachers of the teams participating in the Gibson debates where they exchanged views with their Indian counterparts on a wide ranging topics concerning modern schooling.

Before leaving, they have extended an invitation to Mayo College to plan a visit to Karachi in near future to strengthen ties between the two schools and to establish a permanent cross cultural bond.
